Why should I pay for films?
You should pay for films because each time a film is pirated and viewed without payment, both the distributors and the viewers are complicit in denying proper compensation to the writers, actors, producers, crew, and others who made the film possible. These artists deserve fair compensation for their work just as any other artist, creator, laborer, or businessperson should be compensated for their work. Paying for films is the right thing to do, just as we would pay for any other product or service.

Why is it called 31s?
The invention of the film width format of 31mm by Thomas Alva Edison was a turning point in in development of cinematography. It is also a time period in seconds during which a QR code for payment will be displayed at the beginning and end of a film a viewer chooses to watch.

Who is a 31s co-distributor?
A member who is registered as a co-distribution on the 31s portal.

Who is a 31s agent?
A member who is registered as an agent on the 31s portal.

I like 31s. How can I, as a viewer, help?
You can help by spreading of the word about the project 31s - Watch It Right! and by complying with the law No. 1: Films are made for the audience and the audience should pay for them. This is the principle that is being violated by illegal film distribution. If such violation continues, then films would stop being made. And we in 31s want to prevent it.

I am a producer/film distribution rights owner. What can the project 31s do for me?
We offer you to monetize your films, which are currently downloadable on the internet for free. We will enable those viewers who watched your films in the past but had no way of paying for their viewing to so do retroactively. Because it was the simplest, quickest, and cheapest way to watch you firm by illegal download or sharing, 31s is the most suitable and simplest solution to the problem of internet piracy. I would like to sell films in the 31s catalog. What should I do and what will my commission be?
Your commission may be up to 7%. But you must first be registered as a 31s dealer. You can find more information under the tab designated for this membership category. Anyone can become a dealer. A unique payment QR code associated only with your dealer account will be embedded in your rips. The more people download your films, the more people will decide to pay, and the higher you commission will be.

I would like to distribute films. What should I do and what will my commission be?
Your commission may be up to 7%. To be able to distribute films, you must be registered as a 31s co-distributor. You can find more information under the tab designated for this membership category. Anyone can become a co-distributor. A unique payment QR code associated only with your co-distributor account will be embedded in your rips. The more people download your films, the more people will decide to pay, and the higher you commission will be. You may not delete other official rips by other co-distributor.

What else can I do to help?
By spreading the word about the project 31s via social media, and especially in languages other than English. By notifying us of illegal distribution of films from the 31s catalog. If we replace these illegal copies with legal ones, everyone will benefit. Report such abuse directly to the owner of the platform where the film is located, i.e. so called Abuse Alert.

What must be included in a rip to be compatible with the 31s project?

1. must include “31s” in the name of the film file
2. must have a payment QR code ILQpay embedded at the beginning and end of a film for the duration of 31 seconds, and must be readable from a distance
3. must include our motto "31s: Watch it Right!"
4. must have a visible logo of 31s, ILQ, VISA, and MC
5. must include a payment screen in length of 31 seconds, generated by the 31s generator (only films from the official 31s distribution may include a payment screen).

What are the ways to earn a commission. How and when do I get paid?
You can get a commission from the distribution of films as a dealer who sells a film on a website or as a torrent, or as a co-distributor who embedded a QR payment code in the film. You will receive a 7% commission from each payment. If you are a distribution right owner, then your commission is 50 %. You will receive your payment on your account, specified in your settings after reaching a certain limit.

How can I pay?
Currently, you may pay with credit card, directly from your smartphone or computer. The project 31s uses the payment system ILQPay. It is an international project, so we are planning to use other international payment methods such as PayPal, and others.
